Reports indicate that the AI startup Anthropic is engaged in advanced negotiations to secure up to $10 billion in a new funding initiative. Anthropic PBC is in discussions with Alphabet Inc. A deal that would grant the AI firm significant additional computing capabilities — valued at tens of billions of dollars, is under consideration with Google of Alphabet, as stated by sources familiar with the discussions. A knowledgeable individual mentioned that the rapid uptake of Anthropic’s business offerings is driving growth forecasts. In July of the previous year, the run rate of the company, which estimates annual revenue based on a shorter timeframe, was recorded at $4 billion. Led by GIC and Coatue, we have successfully gathered $30 billion in Series G funding, resulting in a post-money valuation of $380 billion for Anthropic.
On pre-IPO investment platforms, Anthropic has become more accessible to both accredited and non-accredited investors. Nevertheless (should the valuations of private AI firms face instability), one of the Mag 7 companies might consider making an acquisition. Based on the Series H funding round in May 2026, which secured $65 billion from a select group of venture capitalists, Anthropic’s latest confirmed valuation stands at $965 billion.
Meanwhile, Meta is reportedly planning to cut 20% of its workforce as AI infrastructure costs balloon, and the Anthropic-Pentagon standoff continues to grind through the courts with no resolution in sight. Physical Intelligence is raising $1 billion at an $11 billion valuation, doubling in four months — as robotics AI becomes the next major capital destination. SiFive raised $400 million at a $3.65 billion valuation in what the CEO called the company’s last private round before an IPO.

Check out our article on investing in OpenAI for more information.) If you’re looking to get in on Anthropic’s IPO — or try to get a stake before the IPO — here are your options. Pre-IPO companies are privately owned; not all private companies will experience an IPO or other liquidity event. Anthropic stock is not currently transactable on Hiive. Purchasing private company shares is generally limited to accredited investors — and most pre-IPO stock transfers require approval from the issuing company. Investors seeking exposure to private companies (including pre-IPO AI companies), may access them on Hiive. In general, only accredited investors can invest in pre-IPO stock, and share transfers typically require issuer approval before a sale can be completed.

General Advice WarningSMSF Mate is a unique website because it has ideas about how to approach SMSFs, insurance and other financial topics that come straight from first hand experience. It's much more useful than what you find on all the other financial websites that just offer generic info that you could easily get on the ATO's website. It's also nice to know there's no financial incentive behind the information, it's legitimately there to help people understand self-managed super funds and how to get the most out of them, not to get an affiliate commission from a broker or other financial services provider. The investment product information is also incredibly useful, I've never seen this kind of functionality on any other website that let's you look at such a wide range of products, sort by what info is most interesting or important to you, and subscribe to updates for different funds and financial products all in one place. Definitely worth checking out if you own or are considering an SMSF!
SMSF Mate provides a unique insight into superannuation and financial topics in a way that is easier to understand than conventional websites. The colloquial nature of the site makes it easy to understand and they often speak about complicated topics in lamens terms so I can wrap my head around them. The investment product information is a great way to research funds that I am interested in investing in with my SMSF and there is a lot of helpful information on the site for better structuring my investment portfolio. In comparison to other websites which offer similar information, SMSF Mate excels as the information is free to access whereas many other sites charge a subscription fee for the same thing. Overall, I think SMSF Mate is a great resource for SMSF trustees and is worth looking at for a variety of super-related topics. Thanks.
