Australia, while a globally small market, has 3.8 million Australians aged 65 and older and is growing year on year. Aussies are getting older. The market is growing over time.
This market has made the decision to self fund their retirement.
This provides a long term opportunity to position a number of products to assist them in realizing this dream.
We build content around educational content and popular investment categories.
SMSF Mate works with many different product and service providers. We aim to list as many products and services as possible provided that we believe they are competitive and provide good value to the consumer. If you are interested in partnering with SMSF Mate, please contact us via email@example.com for more information.
The SMSF Mate website provides general information for users to make their own decisions regarding retirement and relevant financial products. As a 100% Australian owned and operated business, meaning we are not owned by a financial institution or insurance company. This allows us to focus our efforts on providing information about superannuation so our viewers can find the right product or service for themselves.
The general information on the SMSF Mate website is provided free of charge. In some cases, if you sign up for a product or service via our website, we will receive a thank-you fee or commission from the product or service provider which enables us to operate a compliant business. How the fee is paid depends on the chosen product or service, which can be a fixed amount or a % of the cost to the client.
At the header of the investment product table, there are various metrics that a user can select to arrange the products according to the criteria which is important to the user. By changing the tables, the results are shown to the user impartially and do not consider any commercial relationship with the providers.
SMSF Mate has no involvement with the provision of any of the products featured in the investment tables and does not give any financial advice. We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of any data shown in our tables, and you should always confirm the data or terms of the offer with the provider directly.

SMSF Mate is a unique website because it has ideas about how to approach SMSFs, insurance and other financial topics that come straight from first hand experience. It's much more useful than what you find on all the other financial websites that just offer generic info that you could easily get on the ATO's website. It's also nice to know there's no financial incentive behind the information, it's legitimately there to help people understand self-managed super funds and how to get the most out of them, not to get an affiliate commission from a broker or other financial services provider. The investment product information is also incredibly useful, I've never seen this kind of functionality on any other website that let's you look at such a wide range of products, sort by what info is most interesting or important to you, and subscribe to updates for different funds and financial products all in one place. Definitely worth checking out if you own or are considering an SMSF!
SMSF Mate provides a unique insight into superannuation and financial topics in a way that is easier to understand than conventional websites. The colloquial nature of the site makes it easy to understand and they often speak about complicated topics in lamens terms so I can wrap my head around them. The investment product information is a great way to research funds that I am interested in investing in with my SMSF and there is a lot of helpful information on the site for better structuring my investment portfolio. In comparison to other websites which offer similar information, SMSF Mate excels as the information is free to access whereas many other sites charge a subscription fee for the same thing. Overall, I think SMSF Mate is a great resource for SMSF trustees and is worth looking at for a variety of super-related topics. Thanks.
